Georgia will introduce new visa regulations starting September 1, 2014, which will be applied to all foreigners including those from countries whose citizens can еnter Georgia without visas, reports ‘Interfax’ information agency. Regulations have been formed according to the new law.
Thus, as the principle functions in the Schengen zone, foreigners will be given multiple visas for 180 days with the right to stay in the country for 90 days. Changes will apply to visa applications: there will be an online visa application that can be downloaded.
To remind, that there was no visa entry system in Georgia for EU citizens, member states of NATO and CIS, as well as partner countries of Georgia. According to the current law, maximum duration of stay for foreigners without visa in Georgia is 360 days.
